need HELP bad!!!!!
ok heres the deal. tonight i swapped out my old battery cables for new ones cause they were all fucked up.and well the + cable i got from kragen had 2 wires comin out of it one fatty like 2g or 4g which bolted to the starter and then a second like 8 gauge wire with a butt connector on it. so i went to home depot and said look this is what i have i need more. the guy told me it wasnt 8g but 10g with thicker rubber around so he gave me a piece of 10g and said that would work fine. so i connected it and bolted it to the fuse box. anyways now my car is fucked up. if i bone out and then shift into second the whole car will shutter and then power will kick in and the car will go. i thought it was only in second but as i was drving home it did it in first also. but it seems to be only when im giving it alot of power. it shakes and like loses power alot. and then gets power and kicks forward. its wierd. could this be because the wire to my fuse box is too small????? or something else????
Well if you werent having the problems before you changed them I would definately say that it has either something to do with the cables or maybe something around the cables?? Maybe you hit something when putting on the new cable? Recheck all of your work and make sure all the grounds and such are clean and tight. Ans also check to make sure that anything in the area that you worked in wasnt bumped loose or anything.
I would check all the connection. Sounds like the problem lies in the connection. Just for reassurance it may be worth your time to solder all the connections.
ok well i work at a saab dealer. i was talking to one of techs whos been a tech for like 25 years and he said it sounds like a vacum hose is leaking. now last night i was gonna eplace on of em and i couldnt get it off with the tools ihad but im thinking maybe i may have ripped it a lil.it runs to the lower bottom half of the intake to a diff part i cant remember. but if this was the case would i have this problem without any codes????
Yes you could have a problem like that and the ecu will NOT throw any codes. Usually vacuum problems will not throw codes but will make the engine not perform properly.

yes my neg cable goes from the battery to the tranny. and then the other small cable like 12 gauge goes to the frame. same as my old cable and it worked perfect.
