Brembo Brakes are rusting
My new Brembo Brake Rotors are rusting not on the surface, but on the corners. and close to the wheel not on the actual braking surface. What can I do to get rid of this.
Thats normal. Thats what happens to unfinished metal. You can sand it off and have them powdercoated or just paint them. Just make sure you dont get paint on the braking surface. Oh, if you paint them, use high temp paint.

If you have a show car, ok, you can worry about that. Get zinc plated rotors and don't drive the car. Street cars have wear and tear.

ha, try living where they put salt on the roads in the winter. Everything that is made of steel is rusty and everything that is made of aluminum is corroded.

Phosphoric acid is used primarily in the manufacture of fertilizers, detergents, and pharmaceuticals. In the steel industry, it is used to clean and rust-proof the product. It is also used as a flavoring agent in carbonated beverages (read the ingredients list on a can of Coca-Cola), beer, jams and jellies, and cheeses. In foods, phosphoric acid provides a tart, acidic flavor.

Naval Jelly will get rid of the rust. The weird thing about Naval Jelly is that the active ingredient is phosphoric acid - the same **** they put in Coca-Cola...
They are sold under the trade names Fosamax and Actonel.
These medications are taken orally. They are such powerful organic acids that if you ground them up and put them in your eye, you'd probably be blinded for life from the corneal burn.
Who said taking acid was fun?
