Questiong about Conversion of auto to manual
I'm planning on doing a conversion from auto to manual. The shop is telling me that I need to buy a new axal thing. Basically something about automatic cars have a thinner axal, and manual trannys have thicker axals. Is this true? do i really need to buy a new axal. Also where can I buy a conversion kit, which includes the shifter linkages, and pedals and all that goodstuff?
Do you think its a good price to get a brand new manual tranny for $1200? Then extra for the conversion kit, and the axal if I need that

In general, automatic cars bring a premium over manual cars. Why not do the conversion the easy way: Sell your car, and buy a manual.
yes from what ive heard u do need the manual tran. "axles" and 1200 for a tranny issss wayyyy too much u can pick up a used one for about 300-400 i was going to do the conversion when i used to have my g2 and from what i remember u need:
axles
tranny
tranny mounts
shiftlinkage
ECU
gauge cluster
shifter
clutch pedal
clutch of course...
clutch master cyclinder and slave [i think]
shift boot and crap like that...
thats all that i can really think of...

wells then since everyone tells me to sell it and buy a manual car, does anyone want to buy it? LOL. I been trying to sell it. Who wants a auto car? Most everyone into imports want a manual, its hard to find the few that want auto.

thank you. i saw those treads before, but then like later on i did a search lookin for that tread and it said it wasnt found. i thought i dreamt it or something.
