Engine Swap

What would be the best engine to put in a 88 Civic Dx? 8k budget
and the best bolt ons for the most horse power to make a good street car.

a 350 with holey 4 barrel and some crowler cams, and use a corvette tranny the 4+3 speed one. that is probally the best swap u can get

8k well sounds like you have some cash to blow!

1250 for brake suspension
3500 Fully built B20 VTEC
1000 Clutch axles tranny mounts linkage injectors
1000 for a standalone FMU
1000 for turbo
50 attmitance to local circut

= good time!

Hell, w/ any 8k budget i would go B18C5. They turbo that pig!
you can get a whole changeover for 5k

for $8000 i would look into the built b20 vtec's from http://www.importbuilders.com they have some sweet motors to pick from. If you can do the work yourself though you can save alot of money.
