Default What causes the brakes to push back when you apply them on snow?

The other day, while on snow, i tried to nail the brakes while turning and it was like the abs locked up. the brake pedal acutally pushed my foot back the harder i pressed it. It happens in my 00' accord and my father's 93 buick

ABS isnt magic, it will try its best to prevent wheel lock up, but with snow there is very little traction available

thats pulsing from the ABS pump. car makers leave that pulsing in the system for feedback, even though they could probably figure out how to remove it. When you feel that pulse in the pedal you know that your ABS is active. Valuable thing to know
