Default DX to d16z6 wiring questions

yes, i've searched on it, but i still have some questions. i've connecting a dx wiring harness to the z6. i'm using the z6 intake manifold and the z6 ecu.

1.is the EAVC (dx) same as the EVAP (z6)?

2.what does the idle air control valve on the d16z6 get connected to on the dx wiring harness? i don't see an equivalent in my dx.

3.how do i wire up the dx wiring harness to the z6 distributor? the dx harness has a 6 connector plug with 5 wires, while the z6 distributor has a 8 connector plug with 7 wires. what wires go where and what are the extra two wires?

4.the power to the distributor. which wire from the dx harness goes to which wire on the z6 distributor power connector?

5.is the ect switch on the z6 the same as the thermoswitch on the dx?

1.is the EAVC (dx) same as the EVAP (z6)?

The EVAp is an emissions devise (Evaporative vapors), not the same as the EACV which regulates idle.
No, it's not the same.
The DX does have an EACV, it's located on the manifold just below the throttle body, You will need to lenghten the wires to reach the EACV on the Z6, which is on the back of the intake manifold just after the T/B
The plugs are the same type.
The eg Z6 has the EVAP on the manifold, while the ef A6 has it on the firewall.
You don't need to wire it, just run the vacuum lines the same way they are connected on the A6.

2.what does the idle air control valve on the d16z6 get connected to on the dx wiring harness? i don't see an equivalent in my dx.
The EACV (electronic air control valve)

See above.

3.how do i wire up the dx wiring harness to the z6 distributor? the dx harness has a 6 connector plug with 5 wires, while the z6 distributor has a 8 connector plug with 7 wires. what wires go where and what are the extra two wires?

You do not wire the Z6 distributor, that is if you are using an OBD0 ecu, pre 1992 on civics.
If you are using the OBD0 ECU, you must use a CRX Si or HF or Civic Si distributor. The OBD1 distributor (Z6) and the A6 OBD0 ECU DO NOT work together,

4.the power to the distributor. which wire from the dx harness goes to which wire on the z6 distributor power connector?

5.is the ect switch on the z6 the same as the thermoswitch on the dx.

the DX has the thermoswitch on the back of the block, It's the one with the two wires covered by a rubber boot. The Z6 has the thermoswitch on the thermostat housing. you will need the plug for that sensor and just run the wires from the back to the new location. It doesn't matter the order for those two wires.

Good luck

trythis out. this is for making a conversion harness but it tells you how to wire it up anyhow.
