electronic vss wiring
i was reading all the post from my search for the vss wiring and i'm still a little confused. the black wire is ground. the yellow with the white is 12v power. the yellow with the blue is vss. i got the ground and the power but the vss, is it suppose to go to the ecu or is it suppose to go to the cluster. i'm i suppose to split the signal after. btw it's a vss from an eg.
You run a wire from the vss to the cluster and from the cluster it goes to the ecu.. and make sure you have a switched power so it turns on when the car is on.. off when the car is off yada yada have fun with your new cluster
I always try to keep all the electronics the same generatoin. Unless there is a performance benefit. (I.E. GM's 3 bar MAP sensor
) I would suggest getting the same VSS sensor that came with the ECM you are using.

There is already a speed pulser wire going from the ECU to the cluster. EF's come that way. You just need to tap into the speed pulser wire with the VSS signal wire. It does not matter if you do it at the cluster or the ECU.

Anyway - tap the wire anywhere you want. There is a wire that feeds the stock VSS signal from the cluster to the ECU so you can tap the wire anywhere you want - the signal will still feed both the ECU and cluster.
