Ok, here's my problem. When I corner somewhat hard, I seem to be posing power, but when I get going straight again I can feel it come back. The car shoots forward. It's very odd. Any suggestions on what it could be? I still have the stock engine, and no mods on it. I'm guessing that since the DX only has 2 injectors, that it's dumping all the fuel to one side of the engine, thus causing my loss in power. Thanks.

 

i have small bolt on mods and when i corner hard my car doesnt do that, try cleaning the injectors and see if the computer is throwing any codes. and also i still have the stock dx motor in my 89 hatch. thats about all the info that i can think of at this time in the morning.

 

when this happens what level is your fuel gauge at? is it say half or a quarter tank if you are conering hard enough with not a lot of gas in the tank what is happening is what ever fuel you have in the tank is being forced to one side of the tank...away from the fuel pick up.

All the EF's have poor fuel pick up when cornering hard when the tank is 1/2 or 1/4 full.

 

i had a similar problem that occurred after changing the thermostat...it was caused by the ground wire at the thermostat housing being loose...problem was gone after tightening loose ground

 

This is SlowCivicDX, I'm on my girlfeind's computer. It happens no matter how much fuel I have. It really sucks. And also, I'm not getting a CEL.

 

I'll check all my grounds, but the last thing I did to my car was change my clutch and tranny, which was lilke 1-2 months ago. And it just started about 2 weeks ago. Maybe I could just be cornering WAY too hard.

Well, my bestfriend who is a tech at one of the local Honda dealers just changed my oil for me today, since I've been working too many hours to do it myself, and it's still doing it. And one thing I noticed was that it's only doing it while I'm going around a corner at WOT. I still think it might just be dumping the fuel to one side, since my DX still has the DPFI with 2 injectors.
