i know. i have been looking at the alpine hu's and i really want one but i don't have the money for one right now. i don't know when i will be able to get the money either. i just didn't know which one would be better assuming that i might be able to the the awia unit for free if i traded my jensen for it. having no money really sucks!

stick with what you have until you can afford a better brand.

Ditto...you enjoy imore since you had to work at getting it.

As for the burned cd deal....here are some tips

1. Use disc that are designed for audio recordings..not the bulk pack of computer discs ( yeah its more cash...but the finished product is much better)

2. Burn in Real Time.....less chance of errors.

3. let burner cool down between uses....heat causes errors...better finished product.

4. Use Redbook software...its the recording industries standard for recording of cd's....most unit purchased will have it installed I think...something that was downloaded may not have it.

This is a guide that was created by radio companies after the explosion of recordable cds....some disc would work others wouldnt...they were to manny variables...but if the above is followed most if not all decks will read it.
