Default Limited Slip Differential

Anybody have any suggestion or advice for a good LSD? It's for a 2001 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe.

Thanks

Just out of curiosity, does the traction control suck that bad? Doesn't the 01 V-6's come with that standard? I would think it would have the same type of effect? I.E. wheel slippage detected and then controled thru braking of the slipping wheel thereby throwing torque back to the wheel with more grip? Just wondering...

A limited slip is more of a performance enhancement than a traction control device.

well i do know there are JDM automatic h22 trannies that come with LSD...

btw i dont think any accord came with traction control, most of the time traction control is for RWD cars, the accord is FWD.

ATTS is not the same as LSD or traction control. ATTS only works when the car understeer while cornering.

So are there any LSD for V6 Accord with auto tranny? I haven't seen anyone using that, that's why. Do you think the factory Integra Type R LSD would fit into the Accord?

absolutely not

I'd check with quaife. they make a good LSD for a lot of hondas. you shold be able to use one from any of the C block motored cars I'm guessing. CL/TL(2nd gen)/Odessy(2nd gen)/MDX all use the same basic motor, so i'd guess their tranny is the same.

ask at accordV6.com those guys might know better.

I do not believe it is even traction control, i believe it is a system that uses ABS to help turn the car with brake modulation

#1: Yes, they do offer LSD's for automatics. Some of the best places to get it them are Quaife (although it may be custom from them) and Protech ( very good). They will cost you though.

ATTS doent only work while understeering, if the ATTS system senses a tire slipping, it will transfer the torque to the tire with traction (hence, Automatic Torque Transfer System) It's a lot like LSD.
