Default Hayden Tranny Cooler

Hi, my friend have a 2001 Honda Accord V6 EX Coupe and he wants to purchase the Hayden tranny cooler. Anybody know the size of the tranny cooler for that car? Where can he purchase it and how much is it? Does tranny cooler really help?

Thanks.

do a search brother..
the small one should cover enuff for passenger car.
I assume your friend is not towing sh-t around right?
read it and see if you have any Q's..
here some insight
you are running tranny cooler additional to factory tranny cooler.
I highly recommending your friend to get a inline ATF filter.

Are there any cons to installing one? More likely to leak, blocks radiator flow, etc?

LOL no i run the aftermarket tranny cooler additional to factory one.
leak? just check the cramp every month.
All the hardware is included and installation is fool proof.
the hardest part is locat the oil return line.
believe me..if you have a crapomatic..get one.
I ordered the inline ATF filter too, too bad the christmas rush took
like 1 month to get it over here.
I paid 1500 for tranny rebuild last summer on my beater..mainly due
to our enemy..HEAT.
Another reason would be that i am planning to run a 65shots.
any questions?

the hose itself is not very very high pressure and all that..
you can feel the oil line is much more cooler after you install it..

Col, I'm thinking of getting one too, after all the horror stories about Honda Autos. Especially since it's my daily driver and need it to last.

here my little dummies' diagram (STOCK)

flow-----> flow--->
{tranny}..........(oil supply line)......(factory tranny cooler).....
: :
.F....<Aftermarket TrannyCooler>........(oil return line)..........
<-----flow <----Flow

*F=inline atf filter, install it after tranny cooler.

There's two way to install it, one is replace it completely
and the other is add it on to the factory tranny cooler.

Yes...get a inline filter to remove all the metallic sh_t. which is the really killer beside the heat.
the stock tranny filter is a joke...

all the info you will need for 6th gens: http://www.v6accord.com/forums/showt...=&threadid=543

i have a stacked plate style tranny cooler on my 5th gen that i picked up from a local auto part store. you can get any size as long as you can fit/mount it. i got a mid-sized vehicle one.

That was a pretty helpful info, thanks a lot but they didn't mention the size that would fit the 2001 V6 coupe, anyone know what size would fit that car? Thanks again.

There is a write up here for the installation on the CL-S from cl.com (Silverbullet)Should be somewhat similar for the exception of the body panels etc. This is a very good walkthru. I dont think the Hayden has the orifice like the B&M.
