I searched but I didn't find any topics about it (I know i have seen one before). I'm getting the 7.5lbs Fidanza flywheel with my Kevlar clutch setup. The biggest thing to me will probably be the ablity for better rev matching/heel n toe and then acceleration (of course). Being realistic in terms of 1/4mi times what kind of improvements have you seen? I'm thinking it should easily drop me a tenth if not two. Opinions?
with 8.5lb i sure noticed a difference in driving, car felt faster, but "felt" isn't any good, and didn't get enough runs to really see the difference, it seems .1 .2 of 1/4 mile should be possible.
most of the gains are in lower gears, firts gear is the one you might have the chance to take advantage of the flywheel, not so much in second gear.

ActiveAero, what happen you hit the lotto last week or stole money from a bank?
all these questions on what should I get or do...
And yes you will see an improvement on your ETs but With just a FW Its not going to be much, In fact you might be slower untill you get used to launching it again.

I don't remember the exact number, but I remember reading that every pound of unsprung weight is equal to losing almost 10 pounds of normal weight. So changing out the flywheel should make a dramatic difference. I am very interested also, being that I just got my Toda flywheel/clutch combo.
My buddy used to have a G2 LS and he swapped his stock flywheel for an ITR flywheel and he said it was like night and day difference. So I am amped to get my **** in.

Anyways, I heard of people (an MR2, in this case) getting slower ET's but higher mph. The explanation was that the lighter flywheel didn't store enough energy and the car bogged on launch. Domestic guys will tell you the same thing.
It doesn't make much sense to me though, as this particular 250hp MR2 should have no problem with engine bogging. If it does, just launch at a higher rpm.
But apparently the S2000 has the same problem, so I don't know. I guess in some cases it makes it harder to launch well, and in others it makes it impossible.......

I don't think launching will be that big of a deal. I should be able to adjust. I launch at 7,000rpms right now and have to control wheelspin so the flywheel might actually help my launch. We will see.
