Anyone else ever dyno their Automatic 4cyl?
I did and in 3rd 'gear' I put down a whopping 112.5whp and 122.4ft-lbs. Then we did a powerloss run, 60hp
So I 'had' 172bhp which is about right cause I had an intake, exhaust, adv timing, different valve adjustment, and a rebuild bottom end.
Just curious if anyone else noticed such huge drivetrain losses?

Sorry, this would be on my old 5th gen that was stolen just over a year ago. Yes that would be the f22b. The power loss run is when you redline in the appropriate gear and then start the dyno run as you let off the gas and decelerate. In a 5spd the dyno just spins for a while an then starts slowing down. The autos just tend to slow down as soon as you let off the gas. i did this test with the crx i had for 2 months. 94whp and 110bhp - 16hp loss or 17% loss.
Dunno if these pics will show up but here goes:

CRX Power

CRX Powerloss

oh well, cut and paste from properties.

dont you just start out and go from there.. why do you need to run and then punch it?? dont that mess up the powerband
I've had my 6 gen 4cyl auto dynoed. It's only making 130 whp and 132torque with cai, catback, UR crank pulley (I'm going to put the stock one back on), and VAFC.
I'm aware of some power loss on the dyno, though I didn't know you could calculate that loss with any accuracy.
