i'm just wondering if every pro racer out there is using a ball-bearing turbo...
reason i ask is that mine is not ball-bearing...and i was wondering if i should sell and buy a new ball-bearing one.

It really depends upon the amount of boost being run and the intention of the car. Most Ball Bearing turbos don't see a real change in performance untill they reach high levels of boost, say above 15psi in the long run. Sure they are quick spooling, but there are many choices out there that actually that can be just as efficient for your needs. For example, if one was to run a GT35R(Ball-Bearing), a GT37E (Journal Bearing) could have the same characteristics that the person is looking for. Also remember that there have to be water lines tapped, and a water line kit in place in order to utilize the ball-bearing series. this costs extra bucks to integrate.

Bottom line, is NO... Not necessary unless you're really building the motor
