Rio red spray paint?
what do you mean canadian tire has it? im looking for a good match of rio red. there are many shades of "red". i used one that was labelled "firebird red" at the auto store and it was decent in sunlight, but stood out in artificial light since the composition was obviously different. but i cant find it anymore.
i need to repaint my bumper and hood for racing. looks dont matter, just need to cover up the tire marks. (i've replaced the fender and door) might have my whole car repainted before next season, so just need something to cover things up til then.

Those wheels are probably Panasport wheels, not Mazda wheels, and his car is set up for SCCA ITA (Improved Touring) road racing. A lot more fun than just driving in a straight line!
sweet car man! what kind of quarter miles times does that thing run?
yeah, i wanted another option than paintscratch. oh well.
yeah, they are panasports, pic was taken at sears point, crash happened at t10. just came in too hot for my tire/ability chasing another crx.
Any luck on finding spray paint that matched? I resprayed my bumper and hood since they looked like crap. The color match is noticable in certain lighting conditions. I don't remeber what color I have its code R-51 which I think is Rio Red.
What I am going to do is go to autozone, pepboys napa etc. and get the rio red touch up paint. Hold the touch up paint up to the cans of red spray paint they have and pic the closest match.

There such places that will do that. Give them a paint code and will make it as spray cans. Down fall is, you may have to buy a few cans.
Ask a few body shops and see if they can point you to the right direction. Normally there are shops that specialize automotive paint supplies.

ah, way to dig this up. ive been thinking about reviving this car recently too...
no, i didnt really get any good suggestions. i think the closest thing to an off the shelf rio red is some brand which i cant remember, but they call it "firebird red" or something. i used that a LONG time ago on my old spoiler. it was ok.
btw, a lot of those tire marks ended up rubbing off.

yeah I found a can of duplicolor at autozone that looks pretty damn close. I'll have to give it a try. My car had the front end resprayed before I bought it. They did a horrible colormatch orange-red to dark red, and the paint was scuffed of on the bumper. So I sprayed the bumper & hood it will have to hold me off until I can get paint after winter.
