VTEC oil pressure switch

Since it's called a switch I assume it works as on/off and not a signal of how much pressure is going through it right?
Anyway, my question is, at what pressure does it turn on at or turn off? The reason I ask is I would like to setup a warning light to my switch. I don't really need the switch anymore since I'm going standalone but I think it would be added insurance to have a warning oil pressure light for the VTEC since I am going LS/VTEC. Anyway, at what pressure does VTEC require to work, what pressure does the switch work on and what pressure is the minimum for VTEC to operate safely?
Sorry for the long post guys!

I know how VTEC works...I do conversions myself. The VTEC oil pressure switch must send a signal to the ECU that tells it that there is enough pressure for VTEC to activate, right? OK, what I need to know is at what PSI does it turn on and off at so I can hook-up a light to it.

The switch does not stop Vtec from activating. The way it works is: the Vtec turns on, and the ECU looks for oil pressure at the switch. If the pressure is not there, the ECU turns off Vtec and gives you the dreaded code 22. If you look closely at the internals of the Vtec solenoid, you'll see that the pressurised oil from your block goes through the solenoid portion, before it reaches the pressure switch.
Sorry, I don't know what pressure (psi) it is looking for.
