Default Question about VAFC...

First off I am not completely clear on the Achronym(sp) BUt as I understand it, it is an air flow sensor that communicates with your ECU to change the amount of fuel delivered at certain intake flows(or rpms), and with some dino tuneing can lead to some more power...
Now, correct me if I am wrong about any of that. Also, what is the going price for something like this, and a decent place to purchase one?

Cheers! and thanks for any help!

it's around 350 a piece. come with a nice box and wrong diagram and all that good stuff. but you can find one here or ebay easily.
Apex'i also make numbers of other similar products..
Safc...turbo timer..etc.
vafc is perfect for vtec honda.
since you can direct when the vtec will "kick in"
dyno is the only way to make power out of that thing.
350vafc+100dyno tuning=fun to drive

everything you said was correct...but judgin from your profile you have an lx which dosent have vtec..so a better alternative would be the S-AFC which lets you adjust the fuel curve and will still yield more hp/tq...but dyno tuning is something you will also have to take into effect let us know if you have any ?'s

It interupts the signal from the manifold absolute pressure sensor to the ecu.

It allows you to adjust fuel +/- 50% at any rpm (does not change with flow).

Gains are typically seen throughout the power band but tends not to increase peak hp/torque.
