All right, there is a good inch of slack in my throttle cable, but the nuts are as tight as they go. I can tighten it anymore. What can I do?

did you adjust the cable, or just make sure the nuts are tight? do have an all stock setup?

I thought that adjusting the nuts was the only way to adjust the cable. I am stock except for i/e so that has nothing to do with it. How do I adjust the cable somewhere other than the nuts by the bracket?
You can bend the rod that attaches to the foot pedal towards the firewall. Other than that its time for a new cable.
side note, remember that you want about 1cm of slack in the cable at all times.
if you make it taught all the time you will stretch it out and come to the situation
you are at now.
throttle cables are cheap. so just replace it

yeah you can bend the foot pedal bracket, bend the bracket on the intake manifold, or adjust the cable at the throttle body. these are the only three ways. if that doesnt do it, buy a new cable.

buying a new cable is going to save yourself alot of "bending". While bending sounds good in theory, wait no it doesn't buy a new cable
