Default PCV valves and smokey "off throttle" condition

I did a search, and found a tiny bit of info about it, but I was wondering if someone could offer a more detailed explanation.

I get some smoke exiting my exhaust, but only at low rpm's (less than 2000) and under completely closed throttle. There may be a bit of smoke at other times, but this is the only time I can actually see it from the rear view mirror. It doesn't seem dependant on whether I've been boosting hard or not. The turbo is used, and the seals probably are not perfect. Does this sound like a PCV valve issue or worn turbo seals to you guys? BTW, I'm running Mobil One synthetic... Thanks!

turbo seals or rings.. you can disconnect the pcv system completely and drive the car for a bit to see for sure. and do a leak down test to see if its the rings.. if not then its the turbo

>>turbo seals or rings..<<

I'll try the PVC trick. I was hoping it wasn't the turbo seals, but I imagine it is. There was noticeable shaft play in it, but hey, it was < $100. ;-)

I'm pretty sure the rings are fine though. If it were rings, I'd notice a puff or two at start up right? The car never smokes at all upon start up, and compression is still perfect. Sounds like I'll be getting a turbo rebuild in the future...
