yo wut up. im thinkin of gettin (2) 1000 watt rockford fosgate subs and i wanna noe wut wattage i need on an amp. and bout tweeters wuts a good wattage for tweeters.

It depends on the rms wattage of your speakers are. The 1000 watts is probably peak power.

 

if your planning to run two subs, I would consider them going at 2ohms.

Find an amp that at 2ohms satisfies your requirements. See if you can try out a Fosgate bd500.1 (around 600 clean at 2ohm) or a jbl bp 1200.1 would be nice power as well and those are cheap amps.

which rockford fosgates do you have? the power HX2 or the Punch HX2?

 

they're punch HX2

 

are you going to port the box? and what are the impedence of the sub? dual 4ohm? how much are you willing to spend?

 

If you want good power for the money then get either the JBL 600.1 or the JBL 1200.1

As for your tweeters don't worry about that. Just get a component amp I recommend the Hifonics Z400 100X2 for about 200$. I ran my Focal Polykevlar 165k2s off of it and had no prob and enjoyed it. The crossover will send the right amount of power and so on.
