Default Is this true, or BS?

I got my new Centerfoce clutch from NOPI the other day. And inside it had a note attached to it that said "With centerforce clutches you must to use a OEM flywheel."
Are they just trying to sell my a flywheel or is this true? I am thinking it is just BS but i thought i would ask you guys.

how are they trying to sell you a flywheel btw...oem is in your car right now, honda is oem...if it said "you cannot use an oem flywheel with this clutch" then maybe you can say they are trying to make more money off of you...

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer. this is likely stated so they aren't held liable in some way, but many people use non-OEM flywheels with non-OEM clutches, and everythings good. so it's BS to cover their asses.

Raceclutches can damage an aluminium flywheel, so probably the note is to "cover their asses"

yeppers. however the good ones have a steel engagement area bolted onto the aluminum surface. unorthodox makes really super good light flywheels for us. 8lbs baby
