Default Greddy e-manage, does it live up to hondata?

i was thinking of switching over from the AFC hack to something like the hondata setup. i saw the greddy e-manage system and was wondering if it's worth it to get that? anyone?
also, is there a hondata system that I can get that doesnt require the obdii-obdi conversion? thanks

Greddy e-manage is just a piggyback system, it doesn't give you total control over your ecu like Hondata.

i'd get hondata, or at least efi pms before the emanage, i dont think theres too many people that work/tune it and it doesnt have many options. the pms has plenty more features for about the same price

Explain to me how it is a piggy back?

A piggy back system intercepts and manipulates signals coming to the ecu to fool the ecu into doing something it was not designed to do. This is how the E-manage and PMS systems operate. Hondata is programmed to do exactly what you want it to do, no signal is intercepted or modified in any way shape or form! Please know your facts before posting!

i think people just see that it chips into the stock ECU and since it doesnt replace it they think its not a true standalone.

This is how the e-manage works. It is NOT how the PMS works. The PMS intercepts the fuel and ignition OUTPUT signals from the ecu and modifies them in accordance with the user settings. It does not fool the ecu into doing anything.

yea and the emanage is preprogrammed to do certain things at certain booost levels....it is a piggy back only simply before that reason. It cant be tuned for each car individually. people who say hondata is a piggy back simply dont understand what hondata is.

in the simplest way a standalone replaces a factory ECU. Hondata in its own way replaces the ecu. BUT it still retains the factory ECU box.

I guarantee that i know more about the hondata than you do Simple.

He showed you Vapor ... lol!

BTW...armed with a V-AFC and 2 dyno runs VaporTrail single handedly bumped my car up over 30 hp and over 30 ft/lbs.

...and that's nothing compared to what he did with Direp's car on Hondata.
