Does the p28 look for a IAT sensor?
I guessing it does, but where is the sensor located.
On a friends 94' si, on his short-ram intake, I only saw a hole for a breather tube to go. Unlike mine which is the Y8, everyone knows that sensor is one the intake tube.
I ask because i'am thinking of getting the p28 for my turbo set up(Hondata in the near future) and getting the smc in the mean time. I am only going to be boosting around 7-8psi on the smc anyways But for the time being I know alot of obd-2 guys have had problems with IAT sensor before they switched over to a standalone ecu.

If it's Air Intake Temp sensor then alot of guys just leave it plugged in but leave it hanging. On obd2 civic's I believe they are on the intake tube. You can use it on a turbo car but you'll have to strap it down somehow so it doesn't leak or shoot out under boost. The p28 does look for it stock and I believe chipped too.

So AEM would have to make new intakes
No, I'm not sure why, maybe to get a better reading of the intake temp. The Intake manifold becomes heat soaked easy and can throw off the reading of the actual intake temperature. But that's only a guess, who knows.

Since you guys are talking about the IAT sensor, I'm curious if you could tell me where it's located on a '92 Prelude S... I got this stupid crap from eBay to install but I can't find the IAT sensor... which could be cuz I have no clue what one looks like! I tried one tube that had three holes, but when I cranked the car, the engine light came on, so I took it out & am going back to step one again. Please help if you can! P.S. I have a cool air intake if that makes a difference.

I know what your talking about, don't install it. It doesn't work. It's just a resistor or something like that.
