Maybe you need to step back for a day and let it sit. Give your brain a rest. This is what I did when I could not figure out what was wrong with my car. Do you not have any buddies that can look at it?

Is it the high idle problem?

Is the throttlebody part of the sc or are you using your oem one? I have never looked at an sc up close so I am not sure.
The fast idle valve will be located under the tb. It has one coolant line going in and one coming out.
The fast idle was the piece giving me probs, but mine isnt sc'd so there could be other culprits. :shrugs: From what I understand, the fast idle valve is designed to let air bypass the throttle plate when the car is cold. There is some sort of spring or diaphram that is temp controled and as the coolant going through it warms up, the fast idle starts closing until it closes all the way at normal operating temperature. For me, the fast idle was wide open internally allowing air to bypass the closed throttle plate big time. On my car, there is two ports just inside the tb, one to the iacv and one to the ficv. I noticed that when I covered the bottem port up (the one going to the ficv) the car would idle normal. Thats how I diagnosed mine. Yours might be slightly different though being that it is newer.

Just a thought.

Do you have a Helms manual?
