I guess that setttles the old "can you twin turbo a Honda" question

 

they are losing about 2000rpm spool by pairing the cylinders like that.

supposed to be 1&4 on one turbo, 2&3 on the other. sucks for them!

 

But the manifold looks to be decent work even if they didn't do it right

 

Are you sure the engine is configured like a Honda though?

Maybe its not TDC on 1 and 4 then 2 and 3....??

But then again I don't see how the engine could operate with a configuration other then that.

Ill laugh at it if it tried to race me but ill cry when ill lose. OH it the first pic looks photchoped.

 

if you paird a 4 cyl engine up differently (not counting scottish yokes/horizontally opposed 4s) the motor would literally tear itself apart in any other configuration, that is if the vibrations werent so bad that it even started.

firing order and piston locations from the early OHC model T to todays motors hasnt changed yet.

 

also the mani wouldnt be that hard to make, 4 goes over, 1 goes under 4 and wraps back around. mirror that for the other side.

If you want to see what happens when you switch the firing order around, try it on a chevy or a ford, its fun. And yes, you can change the firing order.

 

they are loosing mad power by making the turbos joined as soon as the exhaust exits the turbine.


but it looks cool

 

Not to mention the complete lack of a WG, but it looks cool and the dyno plot looks nice.
