Getting one for Christmas. Just wanted to know if there was anything special I need to know about putting in a new receiver and 4 speakers in a '94 2-door GSR. And also, what sizes are the front/rear speakers? Thanks.

 

Nothing special at all. It goes right in.

For a coupe, the front and rear speakers are both 6.5 inches. I don't know if the 94's have tweeters, but if they do, you can get the 6.5 components in the front.

arent the fronts 5 1/4? im not exactly sure. i been lookin around for 5 1/4 for the fronts and 6 1/2 in the rear. i might be wrong though. i have a 97

 

Stock for a 97 is also 6.5" in the front. You might have 5.25's because some of the aftermarket 6.5's are too deep and they hit the window when it's rolled all the way down. So yeah...5.25's will fit as well.

 

I put in 6.5" component speakers in the front.

You'll need to make a new basket, as the stock ones are not deep enough to accompany the deep 6.5" speakers.

 

Thanks alot. Yeah, mine has tweeters. Is it worth the sound for the 6.5s in front to justify the price difference and making a new basket? Thanks again
