Default turbo hondata b18c... + nitrous?

I have a turbo b18c running a hondata system. I've heard of people adding something like a 25 shot of nitrous, mainly for the cooling properties. Does anyone have a setup like this, and does the nitrous actually cool the intake charge enough to be worthwile with a small shot (say, 25)?

Also, if I installed a small shot of nitrous, how would this affect my current hondata map? Since its already tuned for boost, would I be ok (i.e., would the nitrous simply shift the manifold pressure to the right and use the values I've already tuned turbocharged)?

Also, my internals are still stock... my compression is great... 170 across the board. Would it be safe to boost a tuned 8psi + a small 25 shot mainly for the intake cooling properties (up here at 6500 feet elevation)? Or am I crazy to even think of something this before building my bottom end? Thanks in advance

Read my sig. I have a 35shot and when i got my hondata tunned I didnt have the n2o yet. I have sprayed about 15-20 times since i installed it and went back for a dyno with the n2o and it gave me an extra 27whp. I run 10psi at the track with n2o and 8psi on the daily. No problems yet

Cool... that's good to hear. Where do you spray the nitrous into... before the intercooler? After?

Also, did you have to make any tuning changes (assuming you were tuned turbo, but before the nitrous)? IF so, what did you have to do to your maps to support the nitrous?

I'm interested on some opinions of such a setup as well as people who are currently running such a setup.....TIA

this seems like a good idea, for cooling purposes of course...hrmm, im interested in more details from someone who has a setup like that

bump for more info

I know that hondata now offeres a nos control as a option but not really sure how it works and if anyone has tried it yet.

I would think that turbo + Nos would be a superb idea for cooling matters. I however would want to have it ONLY as a cooling option like after a really hard pull or a really long road trip.....and not so much as a additional "extra HP in tight races"

AFTER a really hard pull? Don't you mean, DURING?

Or are you talking about those intercooler sprayers, which is sprayed on the OUTSIDE of the IC?

Nitrous as a cooling method is expensive. ($30+/bottle) Whereas with a water sprayer, like Aquamist....water is cheaper @ $0.75/gallon. Just FYI.
