some questions about JDM F22 install (installation)
having probs with the power steering hose. the JDM one actually wraps around the oil dipstick. will the stock one have to be bent?
ECU- we got a F22 ECU. will it run the motor alright? i read one thera where they said the JDM F22 ECU are hard to come by in good working order....
whats valve lash on this motor????
im using an auto trans with this.
anyone else used it on an aut trans? can u feel the diff in power from the SOHC no VTEC to this motor?
thanks for the reply

if pwr steering is different.....try cutting and silver braise.
you use the brass fitting area at the pump and the hose part already in the car...right above where the hose turns to brass you cut it and join by braising....dont want to get to technical but if you look at it you should see what I mean..similar to how you do h22 pump in 4th gen accord...
as far as ecu i beleive f22 should work if not check out http://www.hondata.com home page for other possibilities...not familiar with the jdm f22.... whats the biggest difference

i haven't gotta clue about the JDM engine codes since they're so similar to ours but are for entirely different engines. what is the JDM f22?
i got the bastard for 450 and my moms original F22 dropped a valve (sohc non vtec) 30 more hp is a good deal for 450
hey whats up, well the ecu works fine with the jdm motor. i am runing my stock f22 ecu with it and it is fine but i strongly recomned getting the ecu reprogrammed to h23 specs. i am going to do so this month. the auto tranny sucks but it does fine as i have the auto too but that will change this month as well lol. i tried using the p75 integra ecu but it is sluggish all the way up to 4000 rpm's then it pulls strong up to 7000 but i have yet to try a h23 spec ecu. the h23 should be as close to the original ecu of the f22b. as it uses h23 valve train and f22 bottom end i hear not positive though on that. so hope this helps if you have any other questions just ask. oh and about the power steering you have to do a custom job on it mine is all messed up cuz the fool who put it in did some half *** job on it. somebody has done the power steering unit right but i don't remember who though.
