can anybody tell me is there any difference between a 5spd vtec head and a auto vtec head. because ive ran into a problem with my vemon intake manni

 

Don't refer him to me. We have already discussed it.

It is in relation to the 99-00 D16Y8 Intake Manifold. And that stupid vaccum line that is next to the head between the 2nd and 3rd runner.

Anyone know what that hooks up to?

the vaccum line on the 99-00 y8 intake manifold that is on the middle of the flange where it bolts to the head goes to a small seperate chamber that has 4 tiny holes. each hole is in front of an injector. Im not sure exactly where the other side of the hole goes to, but it is supposed to help out on cold starts. I had a vacuum leak after my mini-me cause i only had a 96 Y8 intake manifold gasket. it was not the right shape so i had a vacuum leak on the top of where the manifold bolts to the head. so i trimmed around the 4 little holes cause the edge of the gasket covered them 1/2 way, and used gasket sealer on the top edge, and my vacuum leak was cured. before I figured out the cause i had caps where that line would go. my car had fluxuating idle in P and N when not moving. my civic is auto, Y8 head & intake manifold is 99 5 sp. now it idles just like it did before the swap
