anyone know about this new supercharger??? i heard its not belt driven.....? anyways its sappost to give u power all around and the increase of power is 70% increase on what you are running..... is it available for a SOHC CRX Si engine? or what cars is it available for?? and how much does it go for??

 

where the hell did you hear about this from, I would really like to know. I hope its not some bs like the electric turbo charger. Besides you might want to ask about this in the Forced induction forum. Since this isn't about a crx/civic.

 

From what I've always heard (old time phrase) its a turbo.... Alot of old skool Chevy/Ford racers refer to a turbo as a centrifical supercharger. not new, just another name for it.

 

if you're going to be full of insults and no help just keep your mouth shut and face the mirror and take your anger out there

but yah, i think what you are looking for is a centrifugal supercharger.

That's CENTRIFUGAL in American english buddy.

 

vortech makes centrifugal superchargers. im pretty much sure they dont make it for a crx si, but they do make it for a civic si. But these also require to be spooled up and feel laggy at low speeds. and they carry a hefty price tag. i think you'll be better off getting a turbo cause to my knowledge, that is what it basically is

maybe he's referring to this....anyways its only for the civic si as of now, but i dont know why you'd want this esp if its so new. also, it IS belt driven. i dont know how a centrifugal could not use a belt

i have a friend that is a hardcore american car enthusiast.. and he also likes hondas, and he was telling me about that supercharger for the S2000, and for some other cars, and how its the best supercharger built, that it gives u power all around from low RPMs to high RPMS and the increase is said to be 70%, unlike other superchargers wich is only 30-40 %, i am only asking about this supercharger because i have a D16a6 worked, and not everyone in Forced induction would know if they make it for my car, most likely you guys would know if they make it for my car........

 

There are two types of superchargers i am aware of

Centrifugal - Usually used on mustangs/camaros and euro cars (vortech, powerdyne, etc)

Roots - Usually used on old hot rods (the big *** things you see sticking through the hood) and on hondas JRSC is a roots.
