turbo on NSX?
hey this may sound like a stupid question but i have asked a few of my friends and none of them know the answer can anyone here tell me. if you turbo an NSX where does the intercooler go?
It can go above the engine or mounted below the trunk. Try http://www.cybernationmotorsports.com. They have some pics of a turbo setup. Also try http://www.pansx.com. That's a pretty cool setup too.
I don't do pictures much so I hope they come out
This is for the fast and the Furious 2 casting call, not my car although I wish it was, so sorry if I'm using this without permission

i wouldnt turbo on either it was just something that i had no clue about and was wondering were it would go haha. from what i hear on most other hondas when you turbo a vtec motor it makes it to where you cant even hear the vtec and that sound is way to awsome to take away haha.
If you got a badass turbo setup, your car sounds like a fighter jet; not to mention the blow off valve sound.

Most people who decide to FI the NSX use a s/c. Either the roots type Comptec s/c or the centrifical Basch system. Both systems have their advantages, however you don't see many turbo NSX's, partialy because the piping snakes all over the place. The NSX wasn't desigened for a turbo, there is a reason that the Realtime NSX uses a s/c. However, a NSX w/cams will produce close to the same power as a s/c'ed one run at moderate boost.
Why would you not turbo the NSX? I have a Twin Turbo setup on mine. It has dual intercoolers mounted in front of the rear wheels. I know several people with turbo NSX's and have no problem. You can't go over 7lbs of boost without reinforcing the internals of the engine. Gerrry just did my engine and I will be boosting 15lbs of boost along with a 150 shot of NOS.
