Blown engine at track day! What now?
Well not exactly on the track but in the paddock warming up.
So last sunday I went to a track day trying to have a little fun. 15 minutes before my session I turned on the car for two or three minutes and then drove slowly off to warm up the tires. After a few turns around the paddock area oiltemp was OK water temp was OK and I pushed a little harder, engaged vtec and around 6500rpm and 7000rpm a heard a strange noise and saw a big cloud of white smoke coming of the rear of my car. It then stalled and I knew something bad happened. The engine block cracked open at the juncture with the oil pan right below the AC mount.
A few months ago I had to replace the rod bearings due to oil starvation after a broken oil-radiator, seems like the guy who did the job didnīt quite cut it although he is a Honda mechanic. The strange thing is it was running fine for almost 6000km, no noises no nothing. Very strange.
Now what do you guys think happened?
What are my options now, what should I do?

LOL! Darkteg is the only one without engine problems, right? And soon he will be able to build his own B18C6 with his new Shop Manual.....

open up, look for the broken part(s) and take conclusions.... don't go talk with the mechanic without knowing exactly what happened.. just my 2 cents Mike.
