NA or Boost, whats faster???
lets say you have two 99 gsr tegs, one is NA with 250 hp, and one is Boost(turbo) with 250 hp, what set up would be faster in a 1/4 mile and over all??? Lets say that the tranny can handle this power stock.

How about a N/A motor with Turbo plus a centrifugal supercharger plus 300 shot of nitrous. That would be the **** yo.\
Or you can write a guy on here named Evil_Teken I think he has all 3 in his set up he could probably help.
LMAO

the one where vtec is the loudest yO
can anyone give a straight answer, damn, its to solve an argument, i belive that an na car would be faster because of the better powerband vs a turbo
Ben now you damn good and well that you cant run the Flux Capacitor. With less then 1.21 jiggawatts of electricity he would need a Autozone battery for that kind of power. And one of those electric turbo motors.

You have been a member here for 120 days and you have B18R as you name. And you mean to tell me that you still dont know the answer to this question? Geeeesh Everyone and there mama knows that Turbo will almost always whoop up on NA.
You can make a mildly modded Sohc Turbo motor whoop up on a NA B16A or a NA GSR pretty easy.

considering the compression and cams required to get a GSR motor to an NA 250 hp, that **** would be nearly undrivable except for going quater mile. I have seen B20 VTECs hit 220, but even then that was 2.0, 12+:1 compression, and no exhaust. A GSR motor would have to be like race spec. A simple Greddy turbo kit would be cheaper, legal, and be overall faster. It might need some more tuning, but even if peak HP was the same, the NA would have no torque, and would have a really peaky powerband, whereas the turbo would have higher torque and more usable power.
Not necessarily...if the NA car has a Flux Capacitor wired into his VAFC...I think that setup would beat the turbo hands down.
you question does not have an answer

It's a stupid question, and worse, it's very incomplete.
What's each car geared like? Can we hand pick gear ratios per set-up?
Are they on slicks or street tires?
Bah...
Locked.
