should i go with a y8 head mini me or buy this instead---88-91 1.5/1.6L HONDA CIVIC BULLFROG PORTED AND POLISHED RACING CYLINDER HEAD WITH MILD STREET/STRIP CAMSHAFT?

anybody know an about price for a built head like this? it is used...i think he said about 5000 miles on it.

i'm guessing both would have around the same power increases...but since it is still gonna be mainly a street car with occasional track time, i'm having trouble deciding. HELP!

well with the newer y8 head you'll end up having more choices and it sounds alot more like stock i would imagine, if you get a stage 2 crane cam the power band is from idle to 8200 and the a6 is something like 1500 to 7500, but i don't know if you're going for the sleeper appearence or not. But anywho i'd opt for the y8 since there are alot more options and vtec is cool.

 

i would run the a6 ported by bullfrog..I know for a fact that the sohcvtec motor is shietty.....compared to the a6. I have driven both motors hooked up with cams and such and the a6 is allot punchier downlow in the rpms and it holds its power pretty good beyond 7500rpm

Our head package with our custom cams. my CRX layed down consistent 13.6@98mph for a couple years. Stock block. unmilled head.

I like the A6, i dont think the SOHC vtec motors arent as fun as building up a non vtec sohc.

how much does a head package run? Like one of the exospeed packages?

 

anybody got an idea of what a good price would be for that built a6 head (used)???
maybe $300-$400? i figure a mini me would cost a bit more than that and the power would be maybe about the same...just the idle/mpg wont be as good in the a6 head.
