40k mile tuneup, whats involved?
I just offered a friend of mine to do a tune up for his 97+ Prelude. I had suggested, replaced plugs, wires, distributor, rotor, fuel filter, oil filter, oil, etc.
My question is:
1) Am I leaving anything out?
2) Where is the fuel filter located on this car? I used to have an Accord and they were in a PITA to access. On the lower side of the firewall.
TIA

They usually replace the cap and rotor at 30k mi. So if that has not been done yet, I'd do that. The stock plugs are platnum and should not need replacing yet. The plug wires should also be fine at least until 100k mi. Oil and filer should be changed. Fuel filter I believe is scheduled to be done at 60k mi? I would drain tranny fluid and replace it if that has not yet been done. Also the brakes could probably stand to be bled and have the fluid replaced. The coolant could stand replacing if it is the original stuff. Valve adjustment is in order if it's ticking like a diesel...
