I tried posting this in the Appearance joint, but nobody responded. So I'm posting it here since ITR peeps know all.

My CFhood is cloudy. Seems like oxidation. Anyone else have this happen? I have to polish the damn thing like once every 2-3 weeks to make it look clean again. Anyone know how to keep it from doing this?

 

Try Cosmetics/Appearance forum. Maybe even Tech? People in there "know all."

When I had my Kaminari hood on my teg I revieced it and it looked cloudy, I believe this is mostly due to the gel coat. Have someone sand it and the clear coat in and you will be amazed at the diffrence. The CF looks so much deeper and the hood shines I highly recommend it.

 

I thought the point of getting CF pieces was just for weight reduction. Whocares if it doesn't shine anymore.

But you probably have to get it clearcoated again or something.

I agree to a point, but in my case at the time for as much as I paid for that ugly
thing and to have it look dull pissed me off. So since I know some people I got hooked up and I will tell you the difference is night and day.

 

No offense, but CF is gonna wear with daily driving. There isn't much you can do about it.
