Default 253.4 whp and 209 lb-ft

I made 253.4 whp and 209 lb-ft at about 8 psi (blue line). The red line was my baseline run and that was done with wideband O2 street tuning. With street wideband tuning, I made 258.1 whp and 207.7 lb-ft but the a/f curve was a little bit lean up top.

Here is my setup:
1999 Honda Prelude Type SH
AEM EMS
RC 440 high impedence injectors
FJO wideband O2
Portflow PnP head
entire Ferrea valvetrain with 0.5 mm SS valves on intake and exhaust
Cometic HP style 0.057" headgasket
modified Fmax kit
Garrett T3/T4E stage 3 w/0.63 a/r and 60 trim w/0.60 a/r
2.5" testpipe and Apexi N1 exhaust

I want to thank John (Vaportrail) for letting me use his dyno at great prices and for giving me tuning tips. I highly recommend him.

Yeah, I was trying to get that area down some but I rechecked my datalogs and the FJO reads 13.14:1 at 3.5k rpm and 12.16:1 at 4k rpm. I'm a little bit richer throughout my a/f curve than what the dyno a/f curve displays because the NTK sensor for the FJO is in the downpipe while the dyno wideband is in the tail pipe. Also, John said that there is a time delay for the dyno wideband and I looked over my logs and the lean part occurs between 3k-3.5k rpm.

Nice numbers. What have you done to the bottom end? And what psi is the plot of?

Stock bottom end and the boost was set at 8 psi. On my datalogs, the a/f's are averaging around 11.5-11.8:1 in boost, so there is still power to be made if I lean it out to 12.0:1.

Wow that is nice. How long do you think it will last @ 8psi on the stock bottom end?
Even with good tuning I have always heard that h22 rings are weak as applesauce..

those are pretty good numbers but, expected more torque from a prelude motor. i made something similar with a ls motor.

Yeah, I heard the same thing. My compression is lower with the Cometic gasket by 0.6 point, so I'm actually at ~9.4:1 compression. I think that these factors are key to not blowing the ringlands on the h22 pistons: no detonation, conservative timing, sufficient fuel, and not trying to boost too high. My timing is conservative considering that my compression is lower and I have more than enough fuel during boost. Also, I set up the ems to add fuel and retard timing if it senses knock and during the dyno runs, the ems didn't sense any.

Hopefully, the ringlands will last until I have the funds to build up my spare h22a1.

yea that a/f is kinda on the richer side....how lean do you plan on going? ~12.2-12.4 or so? How do your timing maps look?

I also have a stock bottom end with an inlinepro headgasket that lowers compression to 9:1. I;m goin to street tune this week with a greddy emanage. With a good street tune would you think its ok to tune at 11psi at high boost(track). Daily boost set at .65 bar with wastegate. Did u use the autotune feature on your aem ems?

Those are nice numbers where'd you buy your FJO? I'm taking my car there Saturday for it's rebuild. Did you show John any tricks with the EMS?
