so i burnt up my motor
my pistons and rods were ok

or i can get my motor stoked with the golden eagle stroker kit and bensons sleeves. So you guys will help me deciede the fate of my car..

i want to have it stroked but its going to cost me around 4500 for everything installed.
however i would paying around 700 to put my motor back together.


so help me out !!!

 

You just burnt the motor up now?? How man? Tuning issue??

 

i guess really cold out side plus boost = no more headgasket or rings... still have not found out for sure but its one of the two i find out for sure on tuesday.

 

You dont need a stroker kit.

Also it's very dangerous to leave a poll open.

 

damnit i forgot about that can i close it now ???

but you really dont think i shold stroke the motor out??

i am thinking more that way too... dont stroke it and just have fun with what i have.. there is many children out there with no boost at all and i feel for them greatly.....

Stroker kit definitly not worth the money.

You are way better off getting it sleeved, and just running more boost.

 

The first thing I would do is inspect the block to see if there are any internal cracks. Many times when there is extreme detonation the outside aluminum that supports the sleeve within the waterjacket cracks and, if this is the case, usually you would need to find a new block. If the block is still good, put new sleeves in it and bring it out to 84mm bore. Put an 1.8LS crank in it and buy our Eagle rods and JE Pistons, and you now have a 2.0 liter. This is an excellent running combination and it still fits under the hood. If you are going to do an aftermarket crank like the Eagle, start with an LS block and bring that out to a 2.2 liter without a deck plate.

 

In My Opinion,

I would sleeve the block and overbore to 84mm. Eagle rods and Arias/JE/Wiseco pistons.
a job like that rebuilt usually costs about $2900. that will include a new oil pump, bearing and everything to make that block a fresh block.

so for less than $3000 you have a block that can withstand 30lbs of boost and more. just add a few more things such as ARP head studs, and gaskets and for less than $4000 you'll have everything back together installed and ready to go.
