i can get a h22a4 one w/oil return already welded in and was wondering if it was the same. thanks

 

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. I think they are basically exactly the same. I know a guy with a h22a4 on a h23a1 so if that will work I don't see why it wouldn't fit an h22a1.

 

Yes, they are interchangeable, the h22a4 pan is Aluminum, so if the return line is welded in, be careful, its difficult to weld AL.. H22a1 pan is steel

 

I just thought of 1 more thing, you think the return is going to be in the right spot? being they are different gen cars, it might not work on my 93.

 

I thought they where different but than again I've never tried swaping them . the A4 doesnt it use a non gasket seal (you just put honda bond everywhere ) and the old school A uses a rubber gasket-my 2 pennies-pdang
