I need to know what else besides the engine is different in an si hatchback than the dx hatchback. Stuff like power steering, rear brakes, etc. I have no idea about 4 gen. civics what is different.

 

front and rear sway bars..
painted bumper trims
ecu's doh
engines doh
seats
cluster
center console
rear trunk light
bigger front hubs and rotors
sunroof
the blinker on the Si its faster
SI has stock wider tires
fuel injection system
i think theres more but i cant recall

 

vehicle weight
rear speekers possibly?

thanks for the reply's. Basically disregard all cosmetic stuff. Its going to become a racecar and just need to know mechanically what i need to do to convert the dx to si spec. it already has the engine ecu/ fuel injection stuff swapped on.

Brakes are the same..

the front disc on a Si are bigger than the ones on the DX and STD,,,, i checked with my friends Si... so brake pads are diff and the caliper also

 

negative cappy tan. the ONLY 88-91 civic model with larger front brakes was the 90-91 EX sedan. DX and Si are the same. front and rear. period.

 

well unless your friend has changed to 90-00 Civic or 90-01 Integra Front brakes, all hatchbacks have the same brakes. Accually 90-91 EX are the only ones with larger brakes for the EF's the 10.3 inches while integras are all the same 10.3 also. Thanks for the backing Ham'merd.....Done too much research on the brakes to mess this one up....

DXs were Fuel Injection also. Dual Point FUEL INJECTION.

They also had the option of speaker pods in the back, I have them in my DX.
