That's all you have done and you're doing a 14.0 ??? Any weight reduction ? This IS a prelude body right ?? Clocking in at around 3000 lbs ? Almost hard to beleive.

So... once I get my H22A swap slammed into my 2800 lb. accord 5 spd, add i/h/e vafc and cam gears.. i should be hitting under 14.0 w/ a good launch ?

sounds promising...

bastard hit 13's already!

No dude preluderacer has a freak car, I'm convinced he has a badass short geared tranny, and he's got lots of good bolt-on's and a spoon ecu I believe. It's still hella impressive.

4th gen VTECs weigh 2800lbs max. With a 1/4 of gas and no spare or jack, they are right around 2750lbs.

It's not that hard to believe. Two years ago VeeTec (Warren) was running consistant 13.8-14.0 on street tires with just bolt-ons and a full interior in a 93 VTEC.

Warren also figured out some way to successfully perform 7000 RPM launches on those Toyo street tires...

There's no need to use the hammer emoticon... That weight you are quoting is simply what Honda's marketing materials say. In actuality, they weigh quite a bit less than that with no weight reduction. My 5th gen Prelude did not even weigh that much. It was only 2862lbs upon delivery from Honda.

as i understood it, the 4th gens were always in the 2900-2950 range. maybe aklucsarits is right though. i never had my car weighted.

but ECHC minimum weight for the 4th gen is 2725, which was based upon Corey's weight last season. his race car is pretty damn stripped with plugged sunroof, etc.

if you take the back section out of a 5th gen (spare tire, jack etc) and the rear seats and rear side panels.. plus rear deck, you'll weigh in at around 2840-2860 with half a tank of gas. that's also with a full set of parts under the hood

How is that possible? When your in neutral, you can't rev past 6500rpm.

Nice time, thats crazy. You need to dyno that baby and see what your putting down. I know some of us running a 50-60 shot of nitrous on run similar times. Either you have a freakishly great Lude, or are one of the best drivers to ever run a Prelude at the track.

yeah, with a stock car. all it takes to go around that is take out the rev limiter.

I call BS... I have a supercharger on my 5th gen lude, weights in at 3180lbs, and my 1/8th mile is at 9.06 @ 81.5mph with a 2.25 60ft... If you only have those basic bolt ones, then you have cut the rear half off your car to pull times like that, or there is a bottle somewhere in that car..... But i know a basic h22 5th gen will run in the 76mph range in teh 1/8, so you are gaining some 3mph, the only way i could justify this would be if you had drag radials or slicks on, yet your 60fts would suck if that were true.
