Turbo B18c1 400-500HP whats the best setup
I want to Turbo a B18c1 with HP goals of 400-500 to the wheels. I have been thinking about resleeving it and getting 9:1 je pistons and crower rods, turbo cams, rollers, new springs and so forth, port and polish the head, STR intake and a rev hard stage 2c with about 14-20 PSI. 550cc injectors and a 50 shot (wet) I figured that should be a little more than 400hp. This is going to be a daily driver so I would like to try to keep it on 93 but if not...I can always stock up on Toluene
any suggestions on the setup or a better setup?

yeah, Im thinking I may want a bigger bore to help push the turbo... any thouhts on the NOS along with the turbo?

how many PSI would you run with that setup?
i would add a a vtec controler (if not included in hodata) and camgears
Too make 400-500whp you will have to be on race gas only, not on pump gas. There is no way you can achieve over 400whp and be on 93 octane, for too long. So you can possibly have a car that is capable of making over 400whp, however on the street it will be making a little over 300whp on pump gas.
Also you can get 400-500whp on 81mm pistons. It's not always necessary to go with 84mm, however it will be much easier.
I made 426whp on 81mm (10:1 comp), c16 @ 21 psi, AND there's still more untapped power left in my motor.
also, for 400-500 hp you're going to need alot bigger injector than 550cc, try something more along the lines of a 75-85 lb injector which is like 780 cc - 890 cc
the bigger bore is definitely a plus. i'm running 84.5mm on my ls block and it's amazing. but the old set-up made 450whp at only 18psi on race gas.
engine management is crucial though.
as for 10k, that's a bit off. it's gonna cost more.

is there any special work that needs to be done to the head in order to accommodate the larger bore?

To the head? NO..
To the block? Yes!
