I honestly can't see that making a big difference. the heat transfer effiency of the paint on an oil filter would limit that thing considerably.

damn..too late..I already did it with grill mesh
i bent it to this shape *
lol...
btw i just installed my tranny oil cooler..
i guess motor oil is kinda the same yeah?

i guess that thing would cool the oil maybe one degree if lucky. But as far as the oil cooler (the real one) if you are making lots of power or you are turbo, i think one would be very good for your engine, not to big tough

essentially if and only if, or if you are doing enduro road racing, otherwise it is a waste of money upgrade at this point

Isn't Water Wetter cheaper. Just cool the whole motor down, then your oil will be cooler.
