WHat up guys. Well on saturday i let my girl drive my car around all day. It took here some getting used to the clutch. Then she picks me up in my car that night and i drive. It seems fine until were about 2 miles from my house. I get on it in 2 and go to 3rd. Miss third and then get it in at about 8200 rpm. All of a sudden the damn tranny is making a loud roaring, whining noise. Im like wtf. As soon as i get in my drive way i pull it outta gear and it wont go back in gear. Im like ****. So i come to the conclusion that the clutch disc has broken is some way or another.(spring etc.) My girlfriend was all freaking out saying is it my fault. Im like yeah well see when we get the tranny out. So sunday i pull the tranny(me and my friend matthew did, thanks for the help) and come to find out that the flywheel bolts had backed out on me and crushed the springs on the disc . I fell so stupid. So abby it wasnt ur fault. So now im gonna go ahead and put a ACT xtreme plae with a street disc in on wensday and get me some damn loctite. Anyone every have this happen?? Anyways here are the pics and not that it only took one hour to pull the tranny all the way out. H22 civics are so hard to work on

glad to know that it wasnt my fault! I was kinda scared for a while.. imagine.. i drive it all day long.. then.. when you decide you wanna drive all hell breaks loose.. seriously. but itll be fixed wed!! i still give your car !! but will i get to drive it after its fixed?

same thing happened to my friends h22
except 4 bolts backed out.
use loctite when you reinstall the flywheel. and make sure you use a torque wrench and go in the correct order when doing the clutch AND flywheel.

dont feel to bad... when i first had my swap in, i down shifted in a tunnel with my friends in it(4 including me) and next thing you know i hear a loud grinding noise...

turns out my flywheel bolts was loose! x2

 

What's the correct order for the bolts? Criss-cross pattern, right?

Wo hoo. ACT extreme plate with the organic street disc goes in tomorrow. Im sure ill take some install pic also since im a pic *****. Ill let you guys know how i like the new clutch. It should be alot better than the centerforce that was in it. Later

 

Guess that's an H22 thing cause I've never had it happen to me and I've had my tranny down a couple times! Well.. least you got to it before it caused any more damage.

BTW, your car looks WAY too much like mine..
