how many layers should be used when doing interior stuff such as doors and speaker boxes

where can i get fiberglass sheets

is the spray better than the sheets

is there a website so i can shut up now?

 

When i make a speaker box outta fiberglass, i take some cloth and streach it out over the whole spot and resin that... then after put about 5 layers of fiberglass colth over that. let it dry do your body work and sand like a motha. And where to get your fiberglass mat and resin and all that.... your local body shop supply store should have everything you need.... the spray sucks. good luck.. and hope you have some time ahead of you, cause its a long process.

hand laid fiberglass is way better that sprayed...because spraying can cause air bubbles...imagine those rattling when you bump your music. hand laid, if done properly can get rid of these air pockets because you are in control by squeezing them out.

a tip: only laminate a few layers of fiberglass between drying times, this way you can prevent excessive heat buildup causing warpage.

 

thanks a lot for you guys' help. yeah i have all this summer. i hope to totally redo my car interior. everything from custom door panels to dash to center console to a panasonic gamecube with wavebird controllers. wish me luck.
