anyone know of any good/cheap body shops in IL...i have some body work that needs to be done...

i honestly know nothing about body and am afraid to [freak] it up even more...

there is a body shop in palatine that does amazing work. The do alot of bmw's but I seen good work come of there. My buddy is getting stuff done to his m3 there. I would try there but I dont know how much they charge.

Forgot to say if you do alot fo the body work yourself most places should charge less. Sand everything down maybe prime it. Also take everything apart doors, trunk, hood, bumpers, engine if possible. Strip interior if you plan on going with diff color.

^^^^^^^ not true most places prefer to do the work themselves seeing as longevity of the paint job has a lot to do with prepping the car, and a lot of shops will turn the job down if some one has already tinkered with it. paint and body work isnt as easy as you may think

well that is the first time I heard that. But you do have a good point. My couple of my buddys did the way I explained and they spent around $800 at the shop They didnt get turned down. All I can say is talk to body shops see what they say if they will only do the work themselfs or if they let you bring everything prep

The body shops name is A 'n' L. I trying to get hold of my friend that has his car there right now for the address , but I know it is on palatine road.
