I was installing my chipped p28 ecu into my friends 2000 gs-r with a obd2-obd1 harness and when we start it up the car starts for a second then the rpms just drop and the car stalls.
Has this happened to anyone?
Could it be the harness or the ecu or is it just not meant for a gs-r?
Any help would be greatly apprecaited
TIA

does the ECU work in any other car? is the harness work and wired properly? any CEL codes? is everything connected and snapped in?
i dont know much about gsr's b/c i dont own that motor, but i believe that youll need to get the skunk2 intake manifold in order to run the chipped p28. correct me if im wrong.
after doing some reading some guy said he ran a p28 on his stock manifold gsr with no problems? any input welcome!

Basically, it allows excess hydrocarbons stored in the charcoal cannister to be routed to the intake manifold for burning. It is part of the evaporative emissions system.

If you are running the stock manifold, you can disconnect the secondary butterflies and plug the vacuum line so that the butterflies are always open. You will loose some bottom end, but its better than having your butterflies closed the whole time.
