What are these two screw holes for?

Default What are these two screw holes for?
on the H22A valve cover, to the right and left of the Oil cap. I just noticed that there are a pair of screw holes that are unused.

Thats a JDM valve cover.They drive on the right side so thats where the throttle cable goes acrossed the cover and gets bolted down.

my engine has those screw holes too and its not JDM afaik. no idea what they are for.

probably don't manufacture different valve covers for different markets, just paint them differently and leave the holes.

you screw some holes in then lift

just like the rotors
