leaks in crx???
Anybody here get water dripping down from where the hatch pistons connect to the body. In my 89 crx the water just drips right out of the plastic, where the lil dip underneath the piston rod is when it rains.
Has anybody fixed this leak yet, or know where it comes from??? I have heard it said before that it is from the sunroof drain tubes. But i took out all the plastic in there and i dont really see much of anything.... Can somebody plesae shed light on this problem????

yeah its your hatch seal, i replaced mine for 65 beans and the newer one is soo much thicker that the old one (even though from first inspection your old one looks good) also under the hatch use some homedepot self adhesive weather stripping and line the entire hatch itsself making a complete seal, also try using silicone on the taillight seals and also check the sunroof drain for leaks or clogs
I'm having the same problem with my first gen and have read that the rear window washer nozzle is also a problem area (bad grommet). I checked with the dealer to see if the grommet is sold separately, but unfortunately you have to replace the whole nozzle assembly, around $15. If you're cheap like me, you can pay your local hardware store a visit and look for a similar grommet or you can be ghetto fab and silicone that puppy! Check your sunroof drain tubes as well. Good luck!
Thank god! I thought I was the only one who had this problem! Everytime it rains, the water enters and drips from the hatch lifters and completely pisses me off!

I hope you guys are right about it being the hatch seal. I would hate to spend 65 bucks and be wrong, but Im desparate. Everytime it rains, I feel as if I own a POS.
i have the same leak. is the hatch seal your talking about replacing part number 1 on this page?http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...R+PANEL+LINING
I had a little pond in the back of mine last time it rained. Besides the hatch seals, I have little holes on the bottom i need taped up. I also think water is getting through around the tail lights. It was stank after a few days. Oh the humanity!

I was thinking about getting rid of the rear washer nozzle and then using the hole for an antenna call it rice if you would like but I think the antenna would look better there than were it is now. Either that or get some kind of internal antenna? so I would then be able to close up the antenna hole and the washer hole...I mean how many people actually use there rear quirter?? I rarely use mine it doesnt do much when its just pissing down the middle of the window..

That's your taillight gasket's that need to be replaced, or maybe put clear silicone to the old ones. That will kep the water from leaking through the tailight area. I had that same problem for a while.
