I am wanting to boost 5lbs on a 90 dx 1.5, i know the rods are twigs, do you think they will hold up to 5lbs? if not, could you suggest a solution such as manufacturers of d15 rods or other honda rods to replace them? Thanks in advance for your help.

DJ0820 is holding 8 psi now. I know he spiked 17psi, w/o detonation, and they held. 10 would probably be okay for a daily driver, but no matter what you boost detonation will kill those rods.

they will hold 8lbs just fine

 

Convert to MPFI. Youll get more power and a better mixture A/F wise. Get a SMC for cheap quick tunning. Run a good size intercooler and and some colder plugs. That should keep ya from detonatin.
